We had no education, no parental love, and no one to meet our basic needs.
Meet David
My brother and I became orphans at ages 3 and 2. Our aunt took care of us along with her own five children. However, she was unemployed and struggled severely to make ends meet. She also abused us often. We had no education, no parental love, and no one to meet our basic needs.
Fortunately, we never had to live on the streets. With the help of the community, Alex was able to intervene and bring us to live at the orphanage. Now we are happy alongside all the other children.
David dreams of becoming a policeman so he can fight for other children's rights. He also enjoys singing in the church choir to raise money for the rest of the children.
