Audra Picker
Audra is an energetic and vibrant dreamer who conceived the idea for A Step Up in 2020 amidst a global pandemic and her own life tragedy as her son went through cancer treatment. Alex and the 24 children under his care were the ones who helped bring her back from the darkest place she had ever been in, and it is her life dream to continue partnering with him to help as many Ugandan children as possible.
Alex Kabagambe
Alex is a native Ugandan who became an orphan himself at a young age. He is a courageous optimist who wants to spread the love of God and give back to the children of Uganda. He started Kabagambe Childcare Foundation in 2016 and has helped house and give hope to 36 children since its opening.
Sherry Bullock
Sherry is a devoted mother and faithful woman of God working wholeheartedly to honor her daughter Emma who passed away at the young age of 19. The Bullock Family started the nonprofit Emma’s Echo to commemorate Emma’s passionate love for orphans. Sherry continues to follow where God is leading her, which now means partnering with A Step Up to further help as many children as possible around the world.
Allison Russell
Allison is a compassionate homebody who also loves to travel and experience other cultures. A busy wife and mother of five, her days are spent managing her loud and often chaotic household. She is deeply thankful and humbled for the opportunity to serve with A Step Up and is committed to helping as many Ugandan children as possible to help give them a brighter future.
