A Big Day

Today is a BIG day. After years of wishing and hoping and thinking and praying (you all know the song), we have a website where donors can read about the children and donate directly online to our cause. We have official tax-exempt status. We have a new home being built for the children of Kabagambe Childcare Foundation. God is so good.

In three short weeks, I will be traveling to Uganda! I’ll be in the country for ten days visiting the orphanage, meeting with lawyers and accountants and some friends I’ve made along the way, and hopefully, I’ll get to do a little sightseeing. I’ve never been to Africa and am ridiculously excited for this trip. I got a million shots recommended by the Mayo Travel Clinic and have collected loads of donated items to bring along for the children.

THIS Thursday 8/31/23 and Friday 9/1/23 (and possibly Saturday) we are having a garage sale with all proceeds benefitting A Step Up. Come check it out if you can! It will be held at our very own Allison Russell’s home.
