One evening when I was 2 years old, Mum Sauda heard cries coming from the bush just behind their home. I was lying on the ground, abandoned and naked with a tiny cloth around my waist. They scooped me up and took me to the village council to find out who my parents were.

After several days, there was still no trace of my parents. I was extremely thin from malnourishment and basically skin and bones. Alex tried everything to get me to gain weight. Eventually, I was able to crawl, stand, and speak. Today I smile, talk, and walk, and my bond with the other children is strong. I smile constantly, and I love working hard.
