I lost my father when he drowned at work one day working as a fisherman. I lived with my mother and five siblings in the slums where there was never any work or clean water. We slept in a dirty hut full of rats next to sewer water. Some days, we would go to a nearby orphanage where they had food. The Kabagambe Childcare Foundation is giving me a chance at a better life, and I pray that I will be able to one day help my mother and siblings back in the slums of Masese.
