Mudrik Sebaduka
My sister and I were the result of rape.
Meet Mudrik
I lived in the slums of Nakyekolede with my mother and twin sister. My sister and I were the result of rape. We had nowhere to stay and resorted to sleeping on the streets.
One night, it rained heavily in Uganda and flooded. My mother and sister were among the many people who died that night. I got stuck in some fallen materials and was badly injured. With tears streaming down my face, I kept calling out for my mother and sister.
Alex found me and rescued me from the fallen materials, taking me to the nearest hospital. I was treated for two weeks but once discharged had nowhere to go. Alex was able to give me hope and life through the orphanage. I do have memory issues after my injuries. I enjoy school, and I have a dream of becoming a pastor so I can share Jesus' love with others.
