Meet Swabra

I lived with my parents until the age of 7 when they both died in a landslide. I then went to live with my aunt, but when I was 11 she began using me to sleep with older men for money.

My aunt forced me to get married to one of the men in our village. He took me and sexually abused me until I ran away to the streets where I lived for a year, starving with other children and getting raped during the night.

I eventually met Alex through a local Christian shelter. Now I feel safe and comfortable, and I receive trauma therapy and good medical care. I am kind and caring and want to go back to school to become a doctor.
