My family was very poor, and we often went days without food. When I was 9 my parents died in a taxi accident on their way to work.

One of my parents’ friends started staying with me to care for me, but because of severe poverty, we had to sleep on the streets. This was in the same village where Alex lived.

One day I was directed to the orphanage by some people living in the community. I told Alex my story, and he agreed to let me live at the orphanage. I am a humble girl and enjoy living with all the other children. My dream is to become a lawyer after finishing school.
